Economics of getting married

As the spread of ages is shorter, ther better the income per capita

As the woman is older and the spread of age with men is lower, the gdp per capita rises. It is more valid that the women is the old one and not the man for income to be better as when the man is older, income expectations are more uncertain.

education = $

RV: Your Sovereign Debt Lives At Home With Its Mom

Vía LOLfed.

From the department of “does correlation equal causation?” we find this absolutely fascinating chart via FreeExchange:

To paraphrase Kanye, I ain’t sayin’ I’m a golddigger, but I ain’t messin’ with no broke sovereigns. Would also like to see a chart of how many nations’ leaders leave the G20 conference and drive off in a Hyundai because I probably wouldn’t invest in their debt either.

Obviously the fact that this is presented with no explanation ups the amusement factor. I’ll leave it up for debate whether:

– countries where noone wants to move out of their parents’ digs until they are in their 30s or 40s are reflective of laziness and lack of ambition
– this also correlates to high unemployment and is one of many warning signs an economy is aboard the failboat
– living at home is characteristic of mediterranean culture and so this whole chart is just a co-inky-dink
– I’d have my best shot as a cougar in Greece

etc.

h/t @dutch_book on the twitters for the link!
