The following paragraph has been reversed in modern culture:
The role of conjugal Chasity, and still more precisely that of continence, lies not only in protecting the importance and dignity of the conjugal act in relation to its procreative meaning, but also in safeguarding the importance and the dignity proper to the conjugal act as expressive of interpersonal union, revealing to the awareness and the experience of the couple all the other possible manifestations of affection that can express these profound communion of theirs.

While continence develops the personal communion of man and woman, one could describe modern marriage as follows:
The role of conjugal Lust, and still more precisely that of incontinence, lies not only in neglecting the importance and dignity of the conjugal act in relation to its procreative meaning, but also in attacking the importance and the dignity proper to the conjugal act as expressive of interpersonal union, hiding the awareness and the experience of the couple all the other possible manifestations of affection that can express these profound communion of theirs.
A communion cannot be formed and developed in the full truth of its possibilities only on the level of concupiscense. And today in the digital culture, all we have is concupiscence, nothing else.
